We all know that summer is a time for sun, fun, and.....lots of celebrations of course! Well this past weekend I had two celebratory events to make sweets for. I was asked to make pops for both events. And what's a better sweet treat for the hot summer time than the bite sized deliciousness that are dessert pops!?!
The first event was an elementary school graduation party. I was asked to make both cake and rice krispie pops for this party. The color scheme was royal blue and white.
Here are some of the rice krispie pops adorned with the first initial of the graduate of honor:
Call me crazy, but I LOVE doing lettering on pops! Especially lettering that is a bit fancy :)
I also added a little gold shimmer dust for some extra pizzazz. Everything is better with some sparkle, right?
To distinguish between the two types of pops, I made the cake pops white with blue lettering:
These little bites of goodness got some gold shimmer dust as a final touch as well:
These pops were to be displayed as centerpieces on each table at the party.
This is how one of the centerpieces looked when it was all put together:
And this is all 8 of them assembled and ready to go to:
I was SO pleased with how these pops turned out and I am happy to say that so was their recipient! Some post-party feedback was that they were a big hit!
The second event that I made cake pops for was a fundraiser called Darien's Got Talent.
Much like the television show America's Got Talent, this event was put together to showcase local talents of all ages in the town of Darien, CT.
When one of the ladies involved with the event contacted me and requested some pops for the event, I was happy to oblige!
And what screams talent show more than the color gold?!
Here is the final "bling-ed out" product:
Don't they look fabulous? I think they look like little gold microphones!
And here they are wrapped, tied with gold ribbons, and ready to feed some talented people!
Well, I am thrilled with how my latest creations turned out and I hope you all liked them too!
Stay tuned for another post very soon!
Stay cool and don't forget to eat your sweets everyone!
